African Attire Series - The Women

25 Sep 2015 by yvette watson

While playing with ink pen on paper, the men in the African Attire series were developed . This new piece—developed in much the same way through experimentation with materials and seeing what unfolds— introduces the first of three new women in the African Attire series. For the women printed paper silhouettes replace details and the background is a delicate Japanese rice paper. You can see the other two pieces in the October Issue of YW News. God willing, October 1st.
