Vibrant and arresting colors—daring and rhythmic compositions—compelling and unique themes. All are trademarks of the work I do. Beyond adornment, art is a powerful means of communication. For me, it is a catalyst for change that incorporates images that draw upon my faith, heritage, and culture. My medium of choice is alkyd oil paints on masonite but I have explored drawings, etchings, serigraphs and other types of original prints. The work is “stylized” mostly figurative, and representational with exaggerated shapes, and forms, and intensely bright colors. Although the pieces vary in subject matter, a common thread that ties them together is family and faith.
