HAIR SERIES : in Progress
It’s an amazing time to be a black woman with natural hair. I recently rediscovered these unfinished paintings and decided to complete them. These small 8.75 × 8.75 pieces are a celebration of black hair. My first perm was in my senior year in high school before I left for college. My last perm was 4 years later, during my last year in college. I’ve been a natural sister for 27 years and still loving it. Praise God!! more ladies are beginning to recognize the hair God has given us is AWESOME ! The images show the paintings progressing.
