Victor Epkuk is an amazing Nigeria born artist based in Washington DC. His paintings and drawings incorporate Nsibidi—a Nigerian system of symbols used to communicate. I was introduced to Mr. Epkuk’s work when we were both represented by Parish Gallery. What I enjoy most about his work is its tribal simplicity and how his ideas are shared with only a few minimal elements. The work is beautiful and fun to look it too ! If you’re in DC you won’t want to miss the exhibition at Morton Fine Art (see above). You can see his web site . Or see what he's up to on his Facebook page. Information about his upcoming show is abouve ENJOY!
